The following is an attempt at compiling some of the current literature available on the subject of unstructured mesh generation. Currently more than 800 journal articles are referenced. Abstracts are cited for most of the references. Complete papers are available for the past six years of the International Meshing Roundtable.

This list was originally compiled by Steve Owen, who can be contacted at sjowen@sandia.gov. It can be found in its original form here. The site is currently being maintained by a research group at the University of South Florida. For additional information, contact Kevin Albrecht at kpalbrec@eng.usf.edu.

For those new to this field, you may want to take a look at a quick introduction to mesh generation. I have also written a brief overview of some of the fundamental algorithms used in much of today's unstructured mesh generation software. As part of the survey, a list of current mesh generation software is included. Another review of software is also available on the web by CEWES.
