For those new to this field, you may want to take a look at a quick introduction to mesh generation. I have also written a brief overview of some of the fundamental algorithms used in much of today's unstructured mesh generation software. As part of the survey, a list of current mesh generation software is included. Another review of software is also available on the web by CEWES.

Symposium on Trends in Unstructured Mesh Generation
A special symposium on unstructured mesh generation will be held in conjunction with the 7th US Congress on Computational Mechanics. The congress is scheduled for July 2003 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Abstracts are due January 31, 2003.
