The following is an attempt at compiling some of the current literature
available on the subject of unstructured mesh generation. Currently more
than 800 journal articles are referenced. Abstracts are cited for most
of the references. Complete papers are available for the past six years
of the International Meshing Roundtable.
This list was originally compiled by Steve Owen, who can be contacted at sjowen@sandia.gov. It can be found in its original form here. The site is currently being maintained by a research group at the University of South Florida. For additional information, contact Kevin Albrecht at kpalbrec@eng.usf.edu.
For those new to this field, you may want to take a look at a quick introduction to mesh generation. I have also written a brief overview of some of the fundamental algorithms used in much of today's unstructured mesh generation software. As part of the survey, a list of current mesh generation software is included. Another review of software is also available on the web by CEWES. Features

Proceedings from the 10th International Meshing Roundtable held in Newport Beach, California, October 7-10 2001 is now available. Papers presented at the conference are available for download. Selected papers from the 9th International Meshing Roundtable, held October, 2000 in New Orleans, Louisianna USA, have been published in a special edition of the Journal, Engineering with Computers. A document describing the XML Mesh and Geometry Format used by Ansys Inc. A special edition of the journal Computer Aided Design was published with selected papers from the 8th International Meshing Roundtable. The 9IMR was held in New Orleans, LA. October 2-6, 2000. Electronic Proceedings now available online. An indexed list of authors and co-athors is also provided. Selected papers from the 2nd Symposium on Trends in Unstructured Mesh Generation have been published as a special edition of the International Journal for Numerical Methods in Engineering. Announcement and Call for Papers. The Third Symposium on Trends in Unstructured Mesh Generation, is part of the Sixth US National Congress on Computational Mechanics and will be held August 1-4, 2001 at the Hyatt Regency, Dearborn, Michigan. Electronic proceedings for the 8th International Meshing Roundtable held in South Lake Tahoe, California, October 10-13, 1999 is now available on this site. A new book by Pascal Frey and Paul Louis George from INRIA, France is currently available in English and French from the publisher, Hermes, Paris. A listserv dedicated to topics related to mesh generation has been set up. Sign up for the list here.
A brief overview some of the fundamental algorithms that are used in today's unstructured mesh generation software. Also includes a survey of Mesh/Grid Generation Software. Currently containing details from 94 software products. A forum where Universities, Companies and Organizations can advertise open positions in the field of mesh generation. This is a new free service provided by CFD Online and this web site.
