Domain knowledge base provides us with the number of expected classes during reclustering of a specific region of interest and possibly enables the choice of a small set of prototypical patterns or examples for labeling purposes. To limit application of knowledge to these two uses, however, would prevent us from exploiting its full potential. In this section, we will examine sources we can extract knowledge from and methods of integrating the knowledge into clustering algorithms.
